Chapter 10 Walkthrough

With the Rosetta Stone from the Sunken Shrine, you now hold the key to understanding an ancient civilization. This chapter of your Final Fantasy 1 Pixel Remaster guide is focused on translating that stone and gaining access to the domain of the final Fiend.
Your first destination is the town of Melmond from Chapter 4. Fly your airship there and seek out the scholar, Dr. Unne. Present him with the Rosetta Stone, and he will use his knowledge to teach your party the lost Lufenian language.
The Lost City of Lufenia

Now that you can understand their speech, it’s time to visit the Lufenians. Fly your airship to the northern continent and land in the small patch of grass east of the large desert. A short walk south will lead you to the secluded town of Lufenia.
The people here are the last descendants of the ancient civilization that built the Flying Fortress. Speak with them to learn more about the Fiend of Wind, Tiamat, and the impending danger.
A hidden path in the northeast corner of Lufenia leads to two magic shops that sell the ultimate Level 8 spells. Full-Life for your White Wizard and Flare for your Black Wizard are two of the most powerful spells in the game and are well worth the 40,000 Gil each.
The Chime

After speaking with the Lufenians, one of them will recognize you as the Warriors of Light from the prophecy. To aid you on your quest, he will give you the Chime. This key item is required to enter the Mirage Tower, your next destination.
With the Chime in your possession, you are now ready to challenge the final Fiend.
